National Horse Racing Museum - Trail Half Marathon 2025

Brand new for 2025! A trail race from the amazing location of the National Horse Racing Museum in Newmarket. The route designed by Alan Shand takes in picturesque trails surrounding some of Newmarket's most famous studs and stables. A checkpoint at Cheveley Church will provide refreshments to all competitors. Money raised from this race will be donated to Newmarket Open Door and East Anglian Air Ambulance. The race starts and finishes at The National Horse Racing Museum, Palace Street, CB8 8EP.

Our guest speakers Samantha Maré and Ricardo Dos Santos will share advice and guidance on training and race preparation in order to maximise performance and minimise injury risk.
Samantha is an international athlete and sports nutritionist who trained at Loughborough University and is now based at the Running Room in London. She has a particular interest in female health and a passion for ensuring that athletes are fuelling properly in order to practise in a safe and sustainable way which optimises their performance.
Ricardo is a Sports Physio and lifestyle coach who focuses on the benefits of Pre-Activation techniques to enhance athletic performance and more generally support our Muscular Skeletal frame from injury. He will cover the research and evidence that backs up the power of short interventions we can all do at home to aid performance and reduce injury.
This event is open to all Newmarket Joggers free of charge. Tickets are also available for purchase by non-members.

Leaving Newmarket High Street (bus stop outside Unico) @ 6.30am prompt so please be on the coach at 6.15am to ensure we arrive in time for the Parkrun first timers briefing before the 9.00am start time. The coach will drop us off at Hampton Court Green and return from the same place at 3.00pm.
